Neighborhood Meeting for Townhome Development, Mon. July 25
There will be a neighborhood meeting for 23 townhomes proposed at 16858 Boones Ferry Road, between Washington Court and Upper Drive. It will be 6pm Monday July 25, 2022 at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, 4040 Sunset Drive. For more information, contact Ken Sandblast, Westlake Consultants, 503-684-0652. The Lake Oswego city application number is LU 22-0048 (see also the original 2018 application, LU18-0024).
We are a neighborhood located northwest of Oswego Lake in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Our neighborhood association was organized in 2008. The purpose of LGNA is "to provide a forum for its membership to discuss matters of common concern and to represent the views of the members before appropriate public bodies." All residents in the Lake Grove neighborhood are automatically members.

Tree 1318 (aka Tree 40218)
This tree is a 55″ DBH Doug Fir in the far northeast corner of this proposed development. It is marked to be cut down with a yellow ribbon. However, it is *not* one of the trees approved to be cut down 3 years ago with LU 18-0024. Additional trees would require another tree cutting permit application, along with marking, comment notice, and approval.
At the neighborhood meeting on July 25, Ken Sandblast of Westlake Consultants
mentioned that the tree had to be cut because the city engineers are requiring a
water line loop that will pass under Tree 1318. However, rather than cut the tree,
two alternatives should be used: hand digging around the roots instead of cutting
and trenching, or re-routing the water line to the east or west.
